I've only seen the B&W photos of it on the Classicae website, but that was enough to make me want it and convince my wife to get it for me. I'm really excited by the challenge of painting a Maori Chieftan's moko (tatoo) on his face, and on other parts of his body.

Hi Mark,

Thanks once again for emailing me the colour photo of the Classicae Maori figure. I've already started my research into historical Maori te moko and the legend of Te Erui Ariki.

I find this part of the process almost as enjoyable as the building and painting (almost). Marco's WIP thread on the Pegaso bust certainly provided me with the inspiration to have a go at a Maori figure.
