I got a 1/48th Airfix P51 Mustang to build for our model club group build, there are 15 of us building the same kit. Who knows how mine will end up, I am not very good with plastic and glue and my painting leaves a lot to be desired, but will be good fun.

Tommi
That's the main thing Tommi having fun:).

For those www kits...many are out of production, so you probably have an appreciating value stash....

Ninian eh? Takes me way back...

Forgot...uschi van der Rosten does cool rigging wire and stuff to mimic plywood, wing tapes...

Go for it Ralph, the break'll do you good. The other year I did a star wars kit for the same reason. I bet mine is the only snowspeeder painted in artists' oils!

Just make sure we see the end result.

Don't go in to the dark side forever though - you'll be missed!

Hello my Friends.
Did nothing on Monday as I went fishing.
So this is yesterdays and todays work.

I've started taking art classes recently and have begun oil painting. It's not a dramatic shift from modelling and an extension of my love of artistic pursuits. Not surprisingly, I'm drawn towards portrait painting.

The landscape is my first ever painting and the portrait of the Aboriginal stockman is my first portrait and second ever painting.
