My bestest pal is fellow resin fanatic Jim Evans who is well known for putting legs on busts !....

And a fine job he does as well as being a rather nifty little painter as well ......

Right that's the grovelling over with .......

I listed on evil bay a bust but then changed my mind to find old Jimbo had stuck a blooming bid on

..the bust was from Framk Miniatures ..the WW1 German with pipe .....



If you can't recognise it ...this one from Carl Reid ....nice eh!

...sorry James ..I was thinking of you ...as you have a lot of primed resin in the cabinets...that's right where you hide the biscuits behind !!...........

So after a couple of e mails he sent me a piccy....

...looking so sad as well!

Now it seems to me there is a resemblance with the other picture in this fun thread ........

What do you reckon ??

Just had a thought....did he have anything else on ???


My plans for the piece ..rework the helmet cover slightly and detail up the pipe..thinking about adding a helmet top to it as in picture ?

here it is on my bench at the moment ...its early in UK ...guess who can't sleep !

Martin......it's a nice piece mate .....couple of pics .pipe done need to let it harden as the bishop said to the nun !!.......

There is a pointy bit on the helmet on the pipe and a eagle and a German cross ...a lot will be brought out in the painting!

Still to put new numbers on the helmet ..checking out these ...might hand paint them

Still to get the rifle on

Make sure you give me the cake out of sight of Mrs Nap ....and James ..thinking of his figure..and my ears!!
