Hi Everyone,
I have not been inspired for some time, however I have finally found my Groove, by going to my roots. I began participating in this hobby by making small tanks and planes, so after 20 years (of figure making and painting) I thought I would make a plane . Simultaneously I wanted to pay tribute to the pilots of the Hellenic Airforce as well as one of my favorite (and beautiful) aircraft the A7 – Corsair.
After getting my hands on a 120mm top gun pilot from verlinden, an idea started to formulate in my mind. It would not be easy, but I believe the final result will be very nice. Anyway enough talk….as always all feedback and comments are welcome.
Photos, are from the concept stage to where I am tight now. The plane will be painted in the 336 Olympus Squadrons commemorative colors – created to commemorate the last flight of the A7 Corsair worldwide - http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-a-7-corsair-ii-has-finally-takes-its-last-flight-af-1651178309
As always all comments and feedback are welcome – and apologies for the bad pictures.
Anthony
p.s. the camouflaged plane in the First Picture is an A7 in 1/72 scale I made about twenty years ago !!! - just using it to plan the Project.
p.p.s The irony (contrast) of the Project is that the pilot is from the 1980's - so one of the First to fly this plane, wheras the plane is the last one of its kind to fly.
