Hello and Thank You

I wanted to thank the entire figure painting community for all of the various messages I viewed in the Roll of Honor section regarding my husband Guy Herrick. He dearly loved painting figures and even more, he loved sharing it with others. Of course, he discussed techniques and such with many of you, but he also shared his favorite activity with anyone and everyone who came into our home. I think if there were one thing he would ask others to do would be to keep painting and sharing your passion for doing so. Support the hobby in whatever way you can so it continues.

Thank you also for your kindness and condolences. It's a little hard right now, but Guy always said we'd make it through, despite challenges. He had faced many challenges, so he knew I could do this.

I didn't know Guy personally but he was an inspiration and friend to many on here, and a very fine figure painter too as the work that he shared with us clearly shows. May I add my own condolences to the many that have already been expressed.

Met Guy once, we talked about Mountain Men and how those were "Shining Times" he liked when I said that. I'm glad you're sending him home to the mountains and I know you'll miss him dearly. My Condolences.
