Stumbled across the site and signed up. There is some awesome work being done here.

I've recently got back into figure modelling via my re-awakened obsession with Airfix. I'm hoping to pick up some tips from some of the experts.

Here are some recent builds - well, all the recet ones actually

Airfix Richard I 1/12 scale, with not very good eyes:

Airfix 54mm "10th" Hussar - actually he can only be an 18th Hussar in that busby:

Airfix 1/12 Oliver Cromwell:

Airfix 54mm Royal Horse Guard, repainted from the Life Guard:

and the current project is this guy, picked up cheap off the 'bay because he had parts missing:

So far I've Milliputted his leg and repaired his lance, but I'm finding it a challenge to sculpt him a new right hand.

Hi John, welcome to the planet, you will learn heaps here, just be patient. Your builds look pretty good, all the basics are there. Over time you will discover shading and other painting tricks and how to use them to their fullest. Keep up the practise.
