Wow! Beautiful sculpture of a very interesting and underrepresented subject. Anyone familiar with the history of the region? Could this represent a Circassian fighter?

Yes, it can be Circassian, Dagestani, Chechen. This figure represents a warrior from the period of the conquest of the Caucasus by the Russian Empire in the 19th century.

Well done to Chronos ...again something different and with options as well

Good to see the resin and the many references posted as well

Will certainly paint up well ...no matter which version of the left arm you decide

Thanks for sharing

Happy releasing

Seems like a good time to release this. The peoples of the Caucus highlands have entered mass awareness recently with the rise of several talented mixed martial arts fighters. I notice outside of history buffs and figure modelers, people aren’t really aware certain cultures even exist.

Edit: What a gem that old Elisena kit looks. 90mm mmm.

Konnov's figure is of course legendary but it is very rare,if found very expensive and it is a 90mm mounted figure cast in metal(a recipe for destruction). For me Chronos' new release is ideal for someone who is interested in this subject.Definitely getting this in the future.

Oda.

Indeed. As modelers we have to be honest with ourselves when it comes to our abilities. I have completed one metal 90mm mounted piece. A Konnov sculpt actually. It broke off at the hoof. Since then I haven’t done more with a 90mm horse other than stare and imagine myself actually carving a channel to insert a wire. Haven’t built up the courage to actually attempt it yet. The 54mm cavalry figure is the pinnacle of the hobby for me at this point.
