Hi guys,

I found this forum searching for "sculpting materials" or something like that on a Google search.
I have been working in wax for a number of years while doing toys.
Does any here work in wax?

I don't know about working in wax but there are a few "carvers" in here. Namely Taesung Harms of Alpine Miniatures. Me? LOL, I'm just a lowly painter.

What sort of toys do you do?

Welcome aboard Christopher (y)

There are some among us here who were/are wax crafters and worked or work in the toy industry. Mike Good being one if I recall .

Thanks guys

Gordy,

Mike Good lives a couple of towns down the road from me.
I was talking to him a few months ago about this, he doesn't use wax.
I have tried to use the other materials and can't get the hang of it so I keep going back to the wax.

Honestly I don't know why all of the toy industry uses it.
A good friend was big in that business and thats how I got started with this medium.
Having never had much success with the other stuff I can't say witch is more practical.
