Greetings,

My name is Woody. I am from the Midwest originally, but currently reside in New Jersey.

I am a beginner miniature painter, having started a few months ago. I recently finished a set from Zombicide, and am now working on miniatures from Rising Sun. I have been enjoying it immensely so far!

Looking forward to meeting members of the community, learning, and hopefully contributing at some point.

Thank you.

Woody

Hi Woody,

Nice to meet you, & welcome to PF. Looks like you’re spoilt for choice with model clubs, shows & societies in your area, so hope you enjoy visiting a few of them & looking forward to seeing some of your work soon!

All the best,
Chris.

Jersey ... in the past was made of wool, today is synthetic and called New Jersey ... no... kidding ;)

Welcome

Welcome to the Planet, Woody! I'll second Doctor Joe's suggestions about the MFCA and DelVal Scale Modelers. I'm a member of both of those clubs, too, along with Doc and some other members of PF. Our next meeting is this Friday night at Artisan's Hall, 8100 Roosevelt Blvd, in Philly (easy access from the Turnpike down Route 1). We encourage people to bring things along to show and talk about, and to bring along your paints and work on something.

We also have Facebook groups for each club, if you use Facebook. The groups serve us as our forums.

Finally, the MFCA has an annual show, with a judged exhibition and a dealer mart. We hold it at the Radisson-Philadelphia Northeast, again, on Route 1, right off the Turnpike. The next one is coming up in April, on the 17th and 18th. More info is here: http://www.mfcashow.com/upcoming.html

I look forward to seeing your work here, and maybe we'll meet each other in person.

Prost!
Brad
