Just joined and wanted to say greetings. I believe I met several of the members on here at the Julio Cabos workshop at the Lone Star Figure Show in Dallas. That was a great experience and the show was really set up and run perfectly. A quick note regarding the workshop, if you ever get a chance to take one with Mr. Cabos then do so. He is an excellent teacher and you really felt like he wanted to help you improve from whatever level you were at. He answered any and all questions and provided some great techniques to improve on.

I paint any era of historicals, or fantasy and sci-fi. Just depends on the pose and sculpt that catches my attention. Still in the intermediate stage and always trying to get better. I hope to have some pics up soon to get some feedback on ways to improve.

Greetings Kevin, and welcome to the Planet ! I too am in El Paso and I was at the workshop as well. Trouble is I'm bad with names and can't seem to place the face with the name. I was the one that ended up doing the translating when Doug stepped out.

Ken Thanks for the welcome!
Jim, hello Jim, I am not quite that far west. I am actually in San Angelo. Are you in the IPMS out there?
@ Joe, hi Joe, yes I do remember you translating a couple of questions for me at the end when he did the ink demostration on the fiddler figure. Excellent job on on the translating btw. I sat to Julio's left about the the third person down. We were on the same row if I remember correctly. I was also there when you got the photo with Bill Horan. He signed my book right afterwards.
Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Welcome Kevin,

I met you at the workshop as well. I sat next to Joe55 at the end of the table. Welcome to PF.

That's three of you in the El Paso area now. You have a club and you didn't even know it!:)

You hit it Mike! Somehow we need to get together.
Kevin, we have an IPMS Chapter here that meets the first Sunday of the month. As for Jim Patrick, I yet to be able to link up with him. He is still on active duty and its hard to break away sometimes.

Joe

Hello Mike, thanks for the welcome. I do remember you and your work from the clinic. You had some really great figures. Joe thanks for the update on the IPMS chapter. Hopefully I will be in the area soon and can stop by one of the upcoming meetings.
