I'm a long-time "treadhead" who's tired of ignoring the fact that vehicles need crews. It's time for me to grow up and add figure painting to my arsenal. I'm looking forward to learning here.

Welcome aboard Matt! Be careful what you wish for. You, like many of us, started modeling with armor or aircraft and discovered we wanted decent looking figures to accompany our kits. What we didn't hear was Vader's voice...."Join me Luke....I'm your father..."

Seriously, I did the same thing years ago and found, along the way, I really like my Napoleonic figures. So by all means, jump on board and have a good read through the "Beginners Section". You will find that most of your questions will already be answered there. (y)

Me too..started out doing AFV's 40 years ago and turned to figures (the dark side) about 20 years ago. I haven't made an AFV since.

I think most figure modellers "graduate" to figures from other areas of the hobby.

You've come to the right place to improve your skills and increase your enjoyment of our hobby. Welcome aboard.

Hi Matt!
You made it to the right place. Like you I also have been building armor for quite some time, but figures get me excited too. Especially one that really compliments a cool looking tank. Currently I'm working on a figure from the Franco Prussian War (1870) period, and a tank, specifically a Sherman II of the Battle of El Alamein. I just bounce back and forth depending how the mood strikes ;).

What ever the case, have fun (y).

Joe
