Help assemblying Wehrmacht Soldier

Hello friends. Thought i make a break with the bust i m painting and bought romeo's 54mm Wehrmacht Soldier today. First time i paint something of this era and i really need some help to assemble the kit. Below is the spare parts i m left with and the bachview of the figures where i guess they should fit. Any kind of help is much appreciated. Thank you.

It looks to me like the kit has two gas mask cannisters, Any WWII German experts here?

There should only be one respirator case, must be given a choice.

Thought so Carl, I just wanted to clear it up so as not to confuse Dimitrios anymore than he is already.

It looks like something is attached to the lefthand one of the two.

I think your probably right... but what is it? I'm guessing an anti-gas cape. Somebody must know considering the amount of WWII German figs there are

"Gask mask case : 2 different gas mask options is supplied in the kit. One is a M38 Gas mask case, the other is M38 Gas mask Case with a Gas cape pouch tied on it. Details on the case like lid, webbing pull strap and buttons of the cape pouch are well defined."

Thank you very much for your replies. I really have no idea at all from the era and i was trying desperetaly to find a way to fit both of those cans!!!!
