I've decided to paint the French Trumpeter Orleans Cavalry, a very nicely mounted figure way ahead of its time.

I would appreciate any help with the research.

Thanks in advance.

Roc.

Hi Roc, is this the old Poste Militaire 90mm guy?
You're right it is a wonderful figure. Try the Funcken book on the Lace Wars.
I'll try and look for some more info for you.
Regards,
Ben Harper

That's the the best reference you can have Roc. I USED to have that very same
Poste Militaire catalog.
Good question, what DID happen to Mr. Bickerton?.
and you're right Phil, he was/is a wonderful painter
Good luck Roc, I'm looking forward to the final result.

Ben Harper

Keep your paint brush wet,

Roc,

There is a small problem: the Funcken book only have uniforms from 1740 onwards.

I emailed a french group asking for info. I'll forward their reply to you.

Meanwhile I'll keep looking for info to help you.

Cheers,
Paulo
