Greetings all,
My name is Mike Perry. I was referred to this website from a friend of mine at finescalemodeler.com. Here's why.
In December of last year, my In-laws parents burnt down on Christmas. No person was to blame, everyone is ok. It was due to faulty wiring dating back some 38 years ago. My father in-law was inside the house, my mom-in-law was with us at our house 2 hours away. So there's the cause to this story.
Here's where i come in. I love building and painting models and miniatures. I am in no way good at it. I just like doing it. While going thru the burnt house for items that we could salvage, they found my mom-in-laws 1970's AMT Budweiser Clydesdale and wagon model that her dad had given to her a month before he died. Now, the model is in bad shape, but i was asked to fix it up due to the importance of this model. If i could. So, my plan is to rebuild this thing, while giving it a few updates of today's tech and techniques.
I have a nice guy in New Hampshire working on transforming the decals to water slide for me. I'm gonna handle the model. Here's where all your awesomeness comes in.
In today's Clydesdale wagons there are 2 drivers and 1 Dalmatian dog. the kit comes with 1 driver. My request is, is there a way to remake the first driver and sculpt him a partner and new dog? here's what the driver looks like. this is my picture, and links to my photobucket of the model in question

I can no way authorize this work until i have some sort of idea on what it will cost. And yes, i have been told on a few forums about just ebaying a new model and starting from there. I have asked my mom in law this, and this model has a lot of value to her so, if i can save it great. if not then she will see what she wants. And i completely understand this is not a necessity to the model, I'm just trying to gather ideas on how to make this model better. so please, let me know what you all think. I highly value the opinion of people with your awesome talent.
Thank you for your time to read this. If you need different pictures, information, anything please let me know. my plan is to have this done by thanksgiving . if at all possible. For thats when the new house is expected to be finished.
