I've now started to paint and weather the wall sections, for this I've used mainly GW acrylic colours ranging from red, flesh, ochre and stone mixed to different shades,I've added some glass using plastic sheet and added some broken window panes,I've also added some bits of glass to the window ledge.
I used some burnt sienna and burnt umber oil washes thinned down to tone the acrylic colours down a little.
Shading and stains were added using neat oils.
I always write down the techniques I use for painting and weathering buildings because I need to use some of this colour when it comes to finishing the bust, this is to make it blend into surroundings without it looking odd, basically I don't want a pristine uniform in a weathered building,it has to feel as one unit.

I've started to add the shoulder wings to the bust using magic sculp,I still have some more work to do on these before I can call them complete.

I will now move round to the right side of the wall and complete the same way as I did the left side.

Brian, You are doing an excellent job on the building, window for the Coldstream Guards Bust! You have evaluated the bust! Really like the weathering and panes of glass. Nice touches. Can't wait to see this finished! Your bust is one of my favorite works from the 2015 year. It will definitely be my screen saver when finished.

Many thanks bob,the bust is great as it is as you painted your great version, however I always had the Hougomount idea in mind for this bust so I needed to add the wings as only the light companies were situated inside the building
