For those of you with children that aren't old enough to buy Xmas presents on their own, how about this?
Buy yourself some nice figure kits/paints/paintbrushes or whatever you need, then give them to the kids to wrap up for Xmas! you can always feign surprise!! ;)
My kid's (6 & 10 yrs) are giving me a couple of Vallejo paint sets for Xmas & a couple of figures for my birthday (the week after!) I know cos I've just ordered them!

Guilt free hobby enhancement!!!!!! (y)

I don't have kids, what do I do then!!! i've just went out and bought this great Pegaso figure my mother in law is going to give for my Christmas. Just to prove that super mothers in law do excist!!!! (y)

Or at least Andreas, Legolas as the kit above doesnt come cheap.
That's one of the figures I'm getting! (hopefully - Historex agents in the UK have it listed but no postage costs - which probably means they don't have it yet :( )

I keep a wish Book on my shelf with copies of what I have found that iI want. I have already found my Wish Book in my wife's office (thank you Santa) This works pretty good as she has said she didn't want to get me something I wouldn't paint.

Lousy grown up kids, always pretending they've got no money, they have... mine

Haven't been "given" a figure for years. Still there's always my old age ;)

super mothers in law do excist!!!!

I have a great mother-in-law she's 2000 miles away and doesn't speak a word of English.

I prepare a detailed list of exactly what I want including the stock or model number, Store and the location of the item within the store right down to the shelf location. I also give them a price comparison. For catalouge or online shoppers I include item number, sizes, website urls phone numbers etc. Started it as a joke about 10 years ago and my family loves it. In fact, they expect it at Thanksgiving dinner.
Been doing it for years and I usually get what I want.

This years list includes a couple of real nice Pegaso Mounted knights in 54MM.

Cheers
