Hi Guys,

So I had a week to think about all the good advice I got here and in other forums. I tried a mix in which the advice I got is involved but witch still has my own style.
Base: Black + Burnt Cadmium Red + Old Rose
Highlight: Base + more Old Rose + some white
Shadow: Black + Burnt Cadmium red; pure black in the end.
I like the result much more then before, but it's still a long way from what I would like to achieve. I'm now considering to paint the extreme highlights (shoulders, etc...) with a very dilluted wash of white, but I'm a bit afraid. What do you guys think about it? And do you think he's better now, or have I wasted my time.
Many thanks in advance.

Best wishes and have a splendid christmas,

Gino.

Hey Gino,

I think you have it. I myself would not do the white wash. ;) What I would use instead would be to take a grey, seeing how this is a cooler black, and mix this with black and lightly use this for the extremes. There are several greys that I might use, London, German or you could even use some flesh or sunny skin tone. This is just my humble thoughts.

Looking good Gino,

I think you have done an exceptional job with his tunic. Keep us posted on your progress.
