Here's a Soldiers Hessen Kessel Hussar I was trying to get done for the Chicago show and didn't make it.
Please excuse the lousy lighting. I'm Still working on trying to get picture taking right. I'll try to get some better ones on here within the next couple of days.
He was done with acrylics and oils. The groundwork, the stone was sculpted with epoxy putty, the hedge was made from peat moss out of the back yard and flowers were railroad brush and colored foliage.
Hope you guys like it. I enjoyed painting this guy. Chris

Thanks Steve and Guy. The basecoat was Vallejo yellow green and flat yellow. Highlight- W&N lemon yellow; light highlight-titanium white; and shadow- lemon yellow, titanium white, & raw umber.
Here's another pic. It looks a little better. Chris

Thanks Matthew for the comment. It is a nicely sculpted figure. Make sure if you get it you look it over. I had to replace a couple of tassels, a couple of buttons, the swordknot, and 1 of the loops on the pelisse. It was really a fun figure to paint and I am happy with the outcome. Chris
