Hi everyone,

like to thank you all for the great information i've been reading and the inspiration from browsing this site.

Hopefully i'll be able to put both to good use and finish a figure or two that are not too horrid.

Barry

Thanks all. I’ve dabbled mostly in armor till my attention was take by a different hobby, building a house, wife having a baby, etc, etc, and am now just getting some enthusiasm back for the hobby. It has been about 6 years since I’ve started and about 8 yrs since I’ve completed a model so it’s been a while. But thanks to pf and all the info here I’ve been reading it's been easy to get back into the swing of things.

I’m mostly interested in medieval and fantasy, and am not much for researching historical information so most of my painting won’t be historically accurate.

Currently I’ve 2 figures assembled and primed, just waiting for me to take the plunge and start painting.

Welcome Barry. Nice to see another Canadian on board. What scale are you painting and what are the 2 figs you've got primed?
I prefer painting larger scale busts (1/10 scale) and figures (75mm or 90mm respectively). Although I find 54mm almost too small to work with due to my old eyes, I still will use Alpine figs and/or Hornet heads for my armour figures.

Have fun! :)

Thanks Gary, i've got Andrea's Templar banner holder and Latorre's Saxon, both in 54 mm.

as for what scale i'll be working with, i dont think i'll limit myself to just one scale once i get a few figures under my belt. with me its more about what catches my eye and what i think would look good, regardless of scale.
