Hi All;

This is my latest work; Romeo's excellent 75 mm Highland Piper from 1815. What a joy! Hardly any seams to file away and no major fit issues at all. You may notice I have included some post production photographic "effects". That is courtesy of my new Macbook, which I recently purchased for my upcoming exchange/move to Glasgow. So I may have gotten a little carried away, but the novelty will soon wear off. In any case I would welcome any comments and criticisms. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic painting Glen. I can't see anything to critisize. The weathering is great......blending and shading is great........the kilt is awesome.

G'day Glen,

You must be seeing tartan in your sleep now mate.:eek::eek::eek:

What a magnificent figure and what an incredible paint job.:D Kudos to you for such a wonderful rendition.

Guy, Steve, Gary and Tony; Thanks very much gents, I appreciate your feedback. I am definately going to take a break from Scottish subjects for a while. Next up is a 1/32 Billy Bishop figure. No tartan to worry about there!

Glenn,
I still have to order this figure. From the moment it came out it was a favorite.
You did some awesome job with painting this figure, what triggers me to paint it to.
What a great work.

Marc

Very nice job Glen. You seem to have captured the tartan very well and your effects work well.
Have you moved to Scotland yet and will you bring him to Euro if you have?

Don

Thanks marc, glad to serve as inspiration. You will love painting this figure when you get it. Thanks as well Don, I haven't moved yet, that's in August. I haven't decided on my Euro roster yet so anything is possible.

oh...this is a great paintjob!
this figure is not easy to paint...but your version is truly amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing...

Best regards from Italy.... and happy painting!
