Hi Joe,

Brilliant work.. not many people has the gutts to paint tartan patterns on entire outfit....and you execute it beautifully. You must be a very patient person.

Joe, may be your best painting yet (though I really like your figures in white). The painting/weathering of the belt is particularly effective. I hope to see it this weekend.

Hey Joe,
Nicely done! My favorite is the socks. :) You managed to makes several different plaid patterns together look nice. That is quite an accomplishment!

I have a Nemrod Highlander that I'm looking to start painting. The pose is almost identical except my guy has a pistol in his other hand. Why is it I have never seen a Highlander figure that has a smile on his face? They're all frowning...

Jeff, thanks for sharing the info on the tartans. Quite helpful!

Hey guys and lady, ;)

Thanks again for all the really kind words and information on the highlanders.

Jeff,

Thanks for the insight on these fellows. I have a really strong passion for them and I guess it goes back to some long ago relatives in the Frazier clans.

Janne,

I think you are right and that is some of the things that I too see. I think one needs to break up doing all these tartans into different sets. I mean paint one thing then work on a new figure then go back and do another set of lines. I think this is the way to stay fresh and for them not to start to all run together and go cross eyed!!

Again I really appreciate the kind words and I hope to get back to painting another highlander in the near future/

Stephen,

Hey next to tartans whites are really fun!! BTW Are you going to be at MFCA?

Wendy,

Here is a figure for you. It is one that I did about 2-3 yrs ago.

JP

There are many errors/mistakes but thanks again.

Joe

Hey Marc,

Thanks. This was an oldie but I was happy with it at the time. :)

Hey Steve,

I will catch you there either Friday night or on Saturday.

Joe

Nifty spiff! It's cool to see a painted version besides the box art. I've picked out the tartan, but I haven't decided what colors for the jacket and such. Thanks for sharing that. :)
