I present to you my latest bust from Nuts Planet, a Highlander Officer in resin 100 mm high. The kit is made up of 8 pieces, the support is provided but I did not use it because it is imposing.
Box art:
For my part, I represented the hat in a faded blue color, the jacket quite dark with fairly faded blue lines. At first, I made the gray lines like on the real jacket, but it didn't look very good, it was a bit "flat", so I took inspiration from MH Whang's painting.
I'm quite happy with the result, so here are the photos.
Box art:
The character is inspired by actor Graham McTavish, who played the role of Dougal Mac Kenzie in the series “Outlander”. The sculpture is quite faithful to the actor, we can just notice that the tartan is much too pleated on the sculpture to represent a "real" fairly thick tartan which, as shown in the photos below, is much more "flat" and therefore simpler to paint, but undoubtedly less aesthetic and less seller....
In the photos taken from the TV series, the jacket is much thicker than on the sculpture, the color and patterns of the jacket are also darker and more discreet than in the box image, the hat is gray while 'it is generally represented blue....For my part, I represented the hat in a faded blue color, the jacket quite dark with fairly faded blue lines.
