Thank you very much. Just waiting for an Osprey book: Armies of the Ottoman Turks 1300–1774 to arrive and have found some pictures on line. I'll be sure to check with yu though if I run into questions.

Dear friends & colleagues,
Soon there will be a lot of new interesting releases, but to fill the small pause we share an official Sipahi boxart. Excellent painting performed by Nikita Panfilov! The patterns on the helmet, armor plates and saber are truly remarkable - they are quite readable suras from the Koran, as well as on the real artifacts.


BTW, Nikita judged that the most typical situation when an mounted warrior fights on foot is a siege and he made a fragment of a destroyed wall as a base. My personal Like for that!
