Hints, tips and tricks for roman shields in 90mm and 75mm

Dear All, i will shortly be starting my first roman figures.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for painting devices upon.
A- A signifers parma shield ( laural wreath)
B- A primus pilus large oblong scutum shield (curved)

I would also really appreciate any one that can reccomend specific products that could help with these, or drawings of shield devices to scale that i could trace and transfer.

Any help would be very much appreciated
