Agree with Nap re the tones
Bob my flesh mixes have changed over the past few months and I am not quite sure what I am doing different and also a lot of mixing is a bit ad lib and change as I apply to the model , but here's the starter for ten.
Also only the basic shading and high lighting is done wet on wet , then followed wet on dry .
Base undercoat is Tamiya : wooden deck tan XF 78 applied with the airbrush , paints are oils as usual ( mainly Old Holland )
Tit white , Gold Ocher , flesh ocher , this gives me the basic tone .
from there I add various tints , brown umber , Brown madder ( just a tad ) very tiny bit of blue to cool things down .
All this is done a bit ad hoc .
I am about to do Carl Reids Grenadier bust with the shredded standard at Waterloo ( Mont Saint Jean )
Its a great face so will take a precise note of the colours I am using and post with the pictures .
RE painting with oils it is never going to be precise mix percentage and more of a feel , cue Del now
