Hi everyone!
The 3rd edition of our „History in miniature” workshop is recently finished. This is an intensive painting workshop gathering a small group of Romanian figurine painters It was a really pleasure for all of us to work this fantastic sculpture of Riccardo Cerilli, representing a crusader, a bust launched by LAB-54 (warm thanks, Francesca and Lorenzo Evangelista!). As you're gonna see, some of us were eager to learn from Lucian Gradila how to scratch a belt, a shield (Lucian made an entire and great looking conversion!). We have the occasion (with some technical problems, finally solved) to hear our good friend, Zeno Mladin, now in Ontario (Canada) who was glad to talk with us, make suggestions and appreciate our evolution. He explained us some principles for a better composition with historical subject. Great to see again Ileana Sădean, a very gifted Romanian miniaturist and talk about future projects. It was such a fine feeling to see newcomers as Dan Andrita integrated better than we could dream (the bust with orange cap and two blue tones). Warm thanks to George Cristian Dobre (hobbyshop.ro), Mihai Cianu (hobbyzone) and Balázs Schuller (blackarmymodells) who supported us with materials and some special prizes for Lucian and Bogdan. We really enjoyed a great atmosphere and we are really gratefull to Toni Chelcea (the Manager of „Nicolae Bălcescu” Museum) and his staff for such a warm hospitality, again. Some photos here, most of them thanks to Cristina and Papuse Bogdan! To all participants, sponsors and partners my deepest feelings of gratitude! We all wait for the next edition in 2019! Who knows, maybe some fellows from here will have time to come.
Cheers,
Nicolae
