Dear Planeteers, this year marks the 25th Anniversary of our society...... Society for Scale Modellers (SSM)...... we'll be holding our Annual Exhibition "History in Scale 2006" between the 13th May and 21st May.............the Venue will be announced later due to circumstances beyond our reach, which forced us to change the usual Venue..........

A silver jubilee requires something out of the ordinary, so we're discussing of holding another exhibition later this year focusing on youngsters to join in this wonderful hobby of ours.........that's why we're planning a late (round November) school children entrapment exhibition ;) trying to lure our young guns to the excitement of scale models

Anyone is more then welcome to join us on our small but significant Island, overflowing with pre History and History amongst some wonderful Mediterranean weather........

Ray :)

Ray, Sounds like a great show. This is something I'd like to see more of in the US. With the exception of the Michigan show, I can't think of one that offers a seminar for kids. There may have been the odd one here and there in the past, but I do not think it's done on a regular basis.~Gary

Thanks Roc, can I ask you to move this to the centre of the home page for a while pls? Obviuosly when the official poster would be ready it will have some added colour and flair!! Also if I'm not asking much, can you load the dates in the calendar of events pls? Thanks so much, I know I'm a pain :(

Gary, sometimes you really loose all hope of any "computer era" kids wanting to fidget with plastic, resin or metal bits and pieces...........during my 20yrs in the club I've seen hordes of kids joining our club and attending beginners classes.......where are they? Not even one of them is a member anymore

But as ever we "veterans" strive for the search to continue, so we hope to get some collaboration from the education department in this regard till November ;)

I totally agree with Ray about this. In 25yrs , in fact since the beggining, I've seen so many faces. They kept the hope alive that maybe we can have younger people ' lured' into this beautiful hobby. Thing is , every Wednesday, when I go to the club I see the same old ugly faces I have been around for 25 years  . Mine hasn't grown prettier either
