Hello everyone,

I'm collecting hobby shop location data since it is an often requested item from members, often we see members ask things like "I'm traveling to London and I would like to find hobby shops in the London area"

An online database with a collection of hobby addresses would be extremely convenient for those on the go, visit out of state and country shows or have travel plans for a vacation abroad. A compendium of shops would make answering those questions much easier :)

Without further ado, here is the genesis of the database with an online form to collect the most basic information after which I will process the data collected and present it into a "store locator" if you will.

All the best,

Thanks all!

keep them coming , also keep in mind this is only for brick and mortar shops, it must have an address with a store people can visit :)

Marc, is http://www.dominomodel.be online only ?

No, it is a online shop and a modelshop in Belgium.
It is at this adress: Zwarte Berg - Mont Noir
Bellestraat 55
8950 Westouter - Belgium

They are a bunch off young people that are running the shop. They are at alot of shows in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Hi Gordy,

Sorry, but being "technically challenged" and all, I just can't figure out how to use that Google map whatjamacallit, so here's the details for a bricks & morter store on mainland Europe (Belgium again!) that I've visited a number of times in recent years.

Kit ou Double
Rue de Neufchâteau 14
6600 Bastogne
BELGIUM
Tel: 0032 61 26 78 00

Opening hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday 1 pm to 6 pm
Closed Mondays.

It's run by a very friendly chap called Benoit, who speaks French, Dutch/Flemish and passable English.

I added my old LHS, Penn Valley Hobby Center, Lansdale PA. I used to ride my bike over there from my hometown of Harleysville and spend my allowance, then later, my paper route money. It's a great old hole-in-the-wall hobby shop, crammed into half a twin, with all kinds of wonderful things. And they've made good use of the Internet, too, with a website (http://www.pennvalleyhobbycenter.com/) and also an eBay store.

If you happen to find yourself in Southeastern PA, it's worth stopping in and looking around.

Prost!
Brad

Sure thing, Gordy, this is a great idea!

I added another one that's local to me now, here in the Lehigh Valley: Trains & Lanes, outside of Easton, well, Stockertown, really. Another old-time hobby shop, with a great selection of new kits and a stash of old and unusual kits, radio control supplies, model railroad supplies, a slot car track--you old-timers may remember the slot car craze--as well as an indoor batting range and a go-cart track outside. Something for everyone, and knowledgable staff.

Prost!
