hi all....it's been a while since I have posted anything, but since hockey season is approaching I thought I'd post a pic of a scuulpt I did as a gift for my nephews birthday. I've been working on it as a spare time project, and while it's not perfect, I'm happy with the finished piece...hopefully he'll be happy to get it for his b'day!

As always, comments and critiques are read and appreciated....

dang, that is pretty cool Martin. Have you tried any customizing of the McFarlane SPs yet?

Here are the last three I did, which I donated to a Charity auction run by Hinote for children with cancer.

hi Rob, thanks for the comment and nice to "see" you again...I have picked up a bunch of the McFarlane pieces but the spare time to work with them has been hard to come by lately. The decal tips you gave me sure came in handy for this piece, so I owe you a big thanks for the help on that!

p.s....those customs look great, and kudos on the charity work...the faces in particular look excellent...

you should post some more photos if you have additional views. I encourage you to post this on Jomo's site also, the hockey guys will love to see this.

Martin, Great job.

Rob, Great job on the McFarlane figures. Some of the best I've seen. A co-worker of mines buys football figures off of Ebay and a lot of them are pretty bad. ~Gary

Yes!! Can't wait for hockey Season!!

Great job on the figure, the cage looks really nice. I have been pondering the idea of doing some hockey figures, maybe one day!

Go Detriot!

The figure came out really well! As Anders said, really good job on the cage. :)

Do it Anders! I'm already working on Zetterberg, so you can sculpt Lidstrom, Franzen, Holmstrom, Lilja, Kronwall, or Ericsson eh? :D

Hi all, thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated. The cage on this figure seems to really be a focal point, and while I wish I could say I have some magic technique, it was largely just a matter of fiddling around with soft brass wire until I got the shapes right.

Thanks again for taking a look at my post....

Thanks Gary, too bad your co-worker doesn't want to pay a little extra for better quality. I don't think a lot of people know about some of the better customizers that are out there
