I don't know much about this period but is this highly romanticised? Is that headgear really authentic? this is a question not a criticism!

I know the experts, so so-called experts are about to let rip on this one, but I like this for what it is. There is a lot to paint as well, this is a real challenge for the brush.
That headgear does look OTT though!

Great pose, great figure great painting....I don't really care if the sandals are .00005mm out of scale tbh.

as one of heroes represented in this book, in drawing about the Sardinian Revolt 215 BC, really appears Hostus, but as the ... enemy of Romans
