I've just had a long trawl on the forum looking for particular techiques and information.
I searched loads of topics and noticed one reccurent aspect appears all of the time in these posts, especially the ones where peeps are looking for help and advice. And that recurrent theme is..............Housecarl.

I have often given him a PM to ask for advice to which he has never let me down and have now realised just how hard he works to get people on the right track.
Most of us are quite friendly on PF but for me he goes the extra mile. He's always among the first guys to post a reply for someone looking for help and even gives links where others would just give a vague description of what site to go to. He's the Statto of PF because he knows so much and remembers posts to such a scary extreme, even if it's in one of the other figure forums. He posts loads and always gives honest, polite critiques and pointers.
He's one of the most active members here and I think he epitomises what we're about.

Now I don't normally "Big Up" guys but I really do feel after noticing today all that this fella does, he rightfully deserves some sort of recognition for the time and effort he has put in for not just myself but for the many the members of this forum.... so for me he gets my Top Bloke Award!

The cheques in the post Grant. Gary you can call in on your way to Mecca.
Cheers,
Carl.

Not only a nice bloke but a good painter as well, won several well deserved awards at Hinckley last week.......modest with it...so I thought I would join the applause.

Hi Grant ,
Carl is a great ambassador for PF and no mean painter either ...good nomination this and I totally agree with all the comments ....

Currently doffing my cap to Mr Barton and bowing ..very low ...

I also help old ladies across the road, if they want to go or not.
Thanks for comments, it's nice to be recognised for doing what I feel PF is all about.
That is, throwing paint on minis.
Thanks again, and now I've got to go and help with the national debt,
Carl.

+1 on the good guy vote....

Behavior like that keeps PF the good place it is.

Question - what does SBT stand for? I have a LBD (little brown dog) that loves a walk, I just cant work out this abbreviation.

(right, I'm off to drag a little old lady across the street...well, drag in a helpful kind of way)

Since becoming a member on pf figure about 9 months ago Carl has been a great help in so many different aspects of the hobby, n I thank him for this.

Plus I have been rescuing Staffordshire bull terriers now for years!!! So that makes him a double top bloke .

Met Carl for the first time last year at figureworld and he is a top bloke who I am glad to have met, real down to earth and will go out of his way to help.

All the best mate and looking forward to our next meet up,

Steve

Sorry to get into this so late but in addition to his other sterling qualities Carl evidently has a large staff of writers who crank out his hilarious or thought-provoking emails. I usually start my day with a laugh at something he has sent. He never fails to respond either, which is rare in my experience. Top Bloke indeed!--
