How Do I?

I have some pictures of my completed figures. I made sure they were under 40K per picture (to get under the 50 K limit) but three times I tried to attach a standard jpg file and three times the error message told me I wasn't permitted to attach files of this type. Do I need to conver the jpg to some other file type or am I doing something else wrong?
