"How far Jerusalem" Part II
Here we have the second figure in this three figure vignette.
This time a crossbowman (he will be carrying his crossbow over his left shoulder), another weary and tired Crusader.
He tries to keep on marching towards the holy city, despite the heat, hunger and the enemy, he is still determined to reach it...

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend

I guess I have all said on the last post :) anyway I also love this Figure - the "raggy" look like and that "comet shield " ...

Thanks guys!:)
The "comet" shield is the Norman kite shield, just carried up side down. There were several ways to carry this shield so I just wanted some variation, especially when you have three figures carrying the same stuff. Always trying to avoid symmetry when doing scenes!;)
Back to the workbench now!

Extremely expressive......a great work as usual! you keep setting yourself higher and higher standards.....thks!!!

Mike its a privilege to be let into this project at an early stage and see each figure develop along with your thoughts on what you are trying to achieve, I think you have us all looking forward to the next update and the final treatment with the groundwork and your magical style of painting, cant wait.

Thanks guys!!! I really try to learn and improve with every project I do,and that is the beauty of it, there is always something new to learn and to develop! Since I started using the mix of Magic Sculpt putty with a touch of Duro/Green Stuff, I find that I can do details in a better and easier way! Changing and experimenting is indeed they key!

Thanks! Really love doing these vignettes and especially a subject like this where you can add a lot of character and personality with the clothes and armor.
The torn, worn and ragged looks add to the story, lots of fun :)
