Looking for detailed How to build the oven for speed drying of my oil painted figure both resin and white metal.

Anyone experienced with this please advise..

Thanks:)

I use an old wooden cabinet (with a door) with a hole cut into one side. I've installed a light fitting in this hole with a normal electrical plug on the other end. just plug 'er in and away you go :)

For the heat source I was using a vivarium bulb but that has turned out to be too hot for the box I'm using now (I used to have a slightly larger box) so now I have replaced that with a standard 60W bulb and it does the job perfectly. I think I could probably even go down to 40W and still get good results (and save a bit of money at the same time....oh yeah, and the whole planet thing ofc). I can take some pics and post them if you like.

Cheers,
Billy :)

Thanks Zane for you share, easy to do I think.

Can you share your photo and please advise for the size of wooden cabinet and spacing between bulb to metal figure and resin figure.

Sorry for the delay, I completely forgot about posting some pics d'oh

The box is an old First Aid cabinet that I rescued from a skip at work (it even had a vintage glass chemist bottle in it with a cork stopper). I haven't measured it but I guess inner dimensions are about 35cm x 15cm. Anyhoo, here are the pics (please excuse the rude words on the back. Hey, it was free, don't judge me ;))

I truly cannot see how your mate would/could, navigate such an idea! ..:LOL:

'I know my 'Crock-Pot', (its big), but does he have a 'Jig', or basket of some description in which to lower his items in? whilst still wet, without smudging the paintwork. ??

I am having visions of slow-cooked, 'Grenadier', with Shallots' and Red wine gravy !!
