How can this be a surprise? This is what these people are . One of the things that winds me up about them, is when their answer to anything is "But this is 2015?" as if we didn't know and as if it answered anything!!!

That really takes the biscuit - one of the greatest film and TV cars not being shown. Hello PC morons it's inanimate object which has been around for decades. Next things Mad Max's car will be banned... then Kit from Knightrider... Another dangerous aspect of these times of attempted thought control.

I think the problem is that it's companies trying to get out in front of each other to anticipate their customers' potential boycott feelings. As usual they overeact or misread the market. I haven't seen a groundswell of lobbying to remove the flag from products, just states' capitals etc.

Amazon, E-bay, and Walmart have all banned the image of a Confederate Flag. Thats probably around 90% right there. Of course they could've shortened the process and just have China ban them.
The National Park service is not allowing any to be sold at any battlefields. Reenactors were told at the Seminary (Gettysburg) this past week to remove their flags or themselves (private property)
Someone tried to order a cake from Walmart with a Confederate flag and they refused so he came back and ordered one with an ISIS flag and they made it. Walmart has since apologized, saying the employee didn't know what the image was. They are going to educate employees not to make an ISIS flag. No word on whether the employee involved was beheaded.

Why dont they ban denim shorts, sunglasses, striped shirts, bad haircuts and flowerpots as well.? Thats also in the picture. Personally I think that haircut alone should render two years of hard labour.

Trying to connect todays event with historical view and events is usually pointless. Symbols have different meanings to different people, eras and places.
The asians are sulky about the european view of the swastika.

The trouble is Colin, that they're not idiots. They are malicious subversives who will use any event no matter how devastating, to push their sanctimonious loony tunes agenda. They rely on our gullibility not to challenge them. If they get away with it, they move on the next bit of stirring, if not they slither back into the woodwork to attack somewhere else.
These people don't care what they protest against, that,s immaterial. The Activist mentality is all that counts.
