Title says it all. Does anyone else keep going until they fall off the edge or am I the only untidy worker?

We've all been there I think. It's a hobby, so why be disciplined and clean up after sessions, right?!
By the way that fire alarm doesn't work without a battery... ;-)

In the same boat as you Graham. Dont get much time at the bench, so if I did tidy up after I was finished I would never remember what it was I was working on the last time and probably start something else lol.

Better half gone to get a new one with weekly shop. Bloody thing woke us up at four this morning with low battery warning, at least we know it wakes us up lol

The key for me, is to put your things in place that's easy to replace them when you are working and be in a hurry. I think too many boxes and packs makes the situation more uncomfordable..

Lol, got the stutters Nap?
Sadly, a couple of hours after tidying up the bench and cutting the grass, I got up off the bed and my knee went (a recurring problem but docs say there is nothing wrong with it) so I am back on crutches and laid up wired to a Tens electronic pain relief machine. So annoying.

Lol, wish I had but I can't sit at the desk or my knee will lock, I have to keep it as straight as possible. Should be easier tomorrow. If not, it's back to the Hospital to be told there is nothing wrong with it again.......

I have a golden rule! When I feel I am drowning in organised chaos, and have a working area of a foot and a half by three inches, I let out a kamikhazi yell and clear my desk.

Sorry to hear about your knee Graham.
For what it's worth, my painting desk is positioned with only the short side to the wall (window in my case actually), so that I can fully stretch my legs when painting. Maybe that way you can paint with your leg straight? Of course you wife needs to bring you paints, coffee and beer, but I'm sure she'll be ok with that.
