Hello again.
I have always painted with oil colors this soldier produced by Bestsoldiers

Perfect to my eyes...very nice transitions and contrast, plus a dead mat finish.
If I may ask my friend, do you apply with your oils only the highlights and shadows over an acrylic basecoat or do you apply them wet in wet in an oil medium tone basecoat ...
Hope my question is clear and not confusing...:)

If I understand correctly ....

before I apply an acrylic base
after working with oil paints moist.
When everything is dry, I make a few tweaks to the lights with oil colors
