Not the hobby, just not saying no to buying more figures.. I lost the will power to say NO.
There's too many nice new releases, so sod it, my grey army is going to grow.
I'll just have to paint faster and invest in a conveyor belt. :D.

I know how you feel. My ratio of buying figures to painting them is about 50 to 1. Oh well, maybe the grandchildren will take up the hobby. The choice of excellent figures today is overwhelming - who said the hobby was dying?

A common predicament. I got around the White Rose model show with the wallet intact (save for a disappointing lunch from a market stall).
A minor miracle.
Still have ~13 figs to do, though.
Best of luck. Breaking a limb gets you loads of time off work, if you're really determined to industrialise your modelling.
Just a thought...

Yep, we have all said No, did we mean it. As you say the figure comes along and we break into a cold sweat, the add to cart button is shouting at us "buy me". Then you think, can I beat the wife to the postman and the button gets pressed.
It's no good we are weak willed.

The lunatic asylum is calling......
Are we allowed to say lunatic now days.....
Posting for a friend.

"In response to the alarming build-up of cool new releases on various fronts and increasing threats of bargain OOPs on online platforms, I am fully committed to spending 5% of my GDP on figures, rising to 7.5% by 2030." (y)

Luckily I'm retired so I can pass on breaking limbs.
I get to spend a reasonable time at the bench in between Grandad duties.
I won't say how big the grey army is, but its unlikely that all will get painted. :)

I recently retired and have a grey army hoard going back 10+years that can finally be worked on. Doubt if I'll get to all of them, especially with a few more en route in the post :D

I too have a lot of figures that I acquired with a view to working on them in retirement. The problem is the quality of a lot of them is pretty low compared to what is now available, so they are unlikely to get worked on as I keep buying newer (better) figures!
