Wow Dave,

I cannot add anything that has been said, quite stunning, thanks alot for it. I was concerned by the wrinkles on the face of the master, thought it made him look a little old but your brushwork has aceived what I envisoned, a weather beaten veteran. Again well done, look forward to see it's progression.

Rob

Great start David.
The skin tone and a facial expression are very wonderful.
I'd like to follow.

Mitsutaka.

I can't add any more than what's already been said , a truly stunning paint job . Has anyone else noticed the likeness of the face to the famous actor Trevor Howard , even the nose is the same .
chippy

Thanks Mitsutaka for your comments, thanks Gordon had not noticed the likeness although I thought he looked a bit like Pete Postlethwaite. The Redcoat is progressing well so should have some photos soon.

Cheers David

Brian :D

Cracking stuff David...

it's not my era of interest but it intrigues me for some reason. I think it it the toughened weathered look you have given him.

Excellent painting, i watched peter morton sculpting this and i think that the painting has really captured the look Pete was after. Very nice.
Pete used shnozzer durante as an inspiration for this bust.Hes behind me as i type this so he wont mind.

Looking like a real winner Dave,Face is fantastic and the tricorn looks like real felt, and the subtly on the shirt is terrific, the rest for you should be a doddle.

Cheers Ronnie
