Hi guys,
As you can see, only face, left arm and cuirass are finished (the cuisses were blue-tacked in place for the photo). I might go back on his eyes, they look to light for me, though people who have seen them "live" say they're right. What do you think?

He is looking "Great" Luis.......this is a figure I have on my want list and I am glad you posted your excellent work. Would you like us to set you up with a planet figure "Workbench" to keep your progress photo's in?......keep up the great work and post some more as you can.

I replaced the guy's hallberd with a flag. It was made with rolled out duro+white milliput (50%). The reason for that mix? Simply, I did not have enough of either putty The pencil lines that can be seen on it are an attempt to outline the pattern, though it's not yet definitive. If any of you guys have any info on landsknecht flags and can share it with me, i'll be eternally grateful

Thanks Guy for your kind... and fast answer. In fact, it got between my two "inmediate" posts .

I 'm afraid i'm a very slow painter :( and i won't be able to keep up with the posting requirements of a workbench thread. Anyway, i'll try to post new pictures as i advance on the figure.

Well I'm too late. yesterday I had a discussion with Quang to do this figure and replace the pole with a flag. So at evening I've started to clean this figure up. Now I won't be the first anymore. :( Anyway, I like what you have done with it so far and would be happy if mine turned out half as good as yours. I too am looking for info on the flag.

Please keep us updated.

Luis, your landsknecht is coming along very well! Your color transitions look very smooth and natural. Yes, the eyes do look a little bright to me - could just be me. I would tone them down (color wise) and possibly cut them in a little narrower (look like they may be a little big or round). This is only a suggestion and I certainly don't have the advantage of a first hand viewing. Progress looks promising! Keep up the good work and post pics as you progress. Looking forward to it.

Hi Gino,
I'm not the first one. There's an article on such a conversion on an old issue of Figurines (sorry i can't remember neither issue # nor author's name). He had made his landsknecht a swiss mercenary and had added a smaller flag/pennon, with the arms of Bern on it, if i'm not wrong.

Anyway, this is not the case of being first or last!.

I'm looking forward to seeing your version, so we can see if it's half or double as good as mine (y) (y) (y)
