Hi guys,
I just have to share this with you as I need to give vent to my ire!
Upon returning home on Tuesday evening there was a card in the letterbox from myHermes saying that there was a parcel left behind the side gate. I walked around to pick up said parcel and sure enough, there it was - face down on the path on the other side of a locked 6' gate! OK, not a crime in itself, but on picking up the parcel, it was clearly labelled "Fragile - Glass" and had a keep upright symbol on it, large enough to be read from space!
Now, Im no expert, but this did not seem the correct way to deliver this package! I contacted myHermes to explain the situation and they dutifully responded. I was told that, in spite of me giving all the details, tracking number, van number, drop number, etc, they could not investigate this unless I contacted the retailer and they put in a complaint!
I said that although the contents were luckily intact, surely the parcel was in their care during delivery and that their Parcel Monkey was to blame, not the retailer, as the box was correctly packaged and labelled.
Despite several exchanges of email, the saga rumbles on......
