While the Nuts Planet brand is a great brand, there is a lot of fine-tuning and sanding to be expected here.I would not recommend this model to the "novice" who might be discouraged by the preparation and the lack of material necessary for filling

after laying make it a Humbrol light blue.on this passage I work the most important thinning of the jacket with Prussian blue (oil paint)

work on wear and dirt, to do this I use powder pigment

I use TOB, payne gray, yellow ocher and other ocher to go from the darkest to the lightest to do the bulk of the shading and thinning.I would finish the details and make more volume once the parts are put together

The face tightened a mixture of TOB + TSB + gold ocher of white, a touch of terra rosa then the shadows will be made with gray payne (in other) and cassel earth in addition to the other mixes, and I will probably work also with Indian red.Thinning will be done with the base whiterthe white of the shirt will be white without being white, it will be rendered thanks to the mixture of payne gray and orange ocher plus whiteI will bring even more depth to the jacket (blue) once all the parts are in placefor the skin parts I'll go based on what I usually do "see my video" on how I practice for the "BASIC" except that here knows an Indian so I'll adapt

The work is progressing well, I took again a little the tone of the jacket which for many and rightly was too light, I thus darkened it slightly because I did not want to start again the part while going through a stripping.I still have to do the eyes, hair, the knives that it will wear on the torso and that we do not yet see here on the photos and add some details here and thereto darken the jacket I spent sepia on the whole by insisting more in the hollows, I am then and in the fresh reworked the thinning with various shades of blue and flesh color (mixture that I use for the skin tone of the skins) and ocher plus white and orange-yellow for soiling

Alexandre, Like your work on the Nuts Planet bust. Think you did an excellent job on the Native American Skin Tones!(y) Overall, you nailed it on this bust. It is one of my favorites by the way! Thanks for sharing your work!

Never purchased a nuts planet bust but I always was of the impression that the casting was top notch ,so surprised to see so much bad fit and filling required esp in such a simple casting .

Amazing work Alexandre! :)(y)

Cheers,
Ken
