How refreshingly unusual!!!! Welcome to the planet! I'm no sculptor but this is a great site for compliments and critiques.

I like your piece! Please show us more!

Most importantly, this is a beautifully sculpted figure. What is its graphic source? And yes, it is a pity that manufacturers aren't making more of this kind of thing, but then no one buys them, saving their money for another German or American infantryman in camouflage, or perhaps a nice mounted grenadier of the Imperial Guard.
Osprey has as many or more books on highland regiments than on the soldiers of the whole of India. This figure is even rarer for being a man in French, rather than British service; the period predates the C19th, and he is in the infantry rather than the cavalry arm. I look forward to seeing the figure when it is painted.

So that you have unfortunately absolutely right! It is our own buying behavior, which brings the companies to such a model-policy. I regret this for many years.

@mike, kevin, anthony, philip, martin, carl, adrian --- i thank you all for your compliments and critics---- the reference image is from the osprey book 'campaigns: battle of plassey' -- i intend to make more figures in the same way which depict the various points in the history of india; hence inspiring to reconnect the new generations to their culture and roots--- for further reference of soldiers in the colonial army of british india, i am referring a book 'the armies of india' (with beautiful colour plates)......---any more references from u all about indian troops will be very helpful..

regards from India!!!
