Hello all,

I will spend the next week or so in a vacation with the extended family (12 people, many kids) in the Nijmegen area.
Would appreciate info about model/hobby shops and/or shows/open club meetings around here

Thank you

Benny

True dedication to the cause.

(Sorry, I left the Netherlands 30 years ago, can't help with shops or clubs. There was a good shop in Hengelo though.

Consider a visit to one of the many museums, I recommend the Hartestein in Oosterbeek (battle of Arnhem), or the Dutch War Musuem in Overloon. There are many others.

Enjoy your holiday.

Not many shops left. Wentink in Arnhem is mostly oriented towards model trains and cars, but has military kits, scenery accessories, hobby tools and materials.
It’s close to the Oosterbeek Hartenstein museum that Henk mentioned (worth a visit).

Very good airbrush shop in Almere.

Enjoy your trip.

Well, now back in Israel..

So first, a warm THANK YOU to all responders!
Second, being with three little children in a family vacation in an area not too rich with modelling shops, here are my modest results:
1. Interhobby in Nijmegen - a medium size shop, mainly with model train-related items. The bonus of the visit was my wife eyeing a 1/24 VW bus model which reminded her of her childhood, and wanting to buy it in order to build in with me!!! Besides, staff were very friendly!
2. Not purely modelling related, but on our last day, which was actually in Brussels (we flew through there), we visited Autoworld. This lovely museum and car collection is interesting and has many eye-candies to satisfy young children and adults as well.

Thank you again, and now, back to the grindstone :)

Benny
