Paul,
good stances, nice and a bit static, I think that it is missing something.

while self evident the troops are clearing/ entering a house, it lacks a "story".

Perhaps some figures huddled on the 'inside'.....something to give the troops a reason to be going in.

Ideas may be wounded opponents, a child and mother huddled against the wall.

Because the figures have their back to the viewer, it is much harder to get any kind of connection to what they are doing. Kinda like going to a concert, and sitting with your back to them. technically not needed, but it adds to the atmosphere.

You cant make the wall transparent, but some human interest on the other side would help fill out the piece.

Still, great conversion work.

Cheers

Jamie

I think this is sold as a set, or at least 3 pieces marketed to be put together if I remember right. And yes, that was always my issue with these figures, they don't address the viewer. A nice vignette, and Paul, we're not trying to take away from your work here, but I agree with Jamie.

Thanks

Yes I know what you mean I am thinking of adding the front of a house, like the verlinden "middle east" one and having a Warriors figure on the inside hiding behind the door. Not 100% sure what I am doing yet.

The figures do not come in a set, the three figures are from three differnet brands. The base and 3 figures do come in a set but I choose to only use one of them. Funny I got the feeling on movement for this, one figure is kicking the door in and one other is moving around alittle for better aim. These figures come as they look I haven't changed them at all.

Thanks
Paul

On the other hand, it might be best if the viewer doesn't know what the soldiers can expect on the other side of the door, just like they themselves do not. That would also keep this a "soldier's story" sort of work, rather than an attempt to tell a larger story which involves their opponents or civilians.

I like the idea and think this will look great when painted. The only thing that bothers me is the guy on the left. His rifle doesn't seem to be touching his shoulder. It doesn't seem natural. He'd get kicked in the face by the recoil :).
