Hold up on my Vietnam project so may as well work on another Man In Black. Got to this point in around three hours. Helps being able to lay out the palette in advance. Going to have a few slight variations to keep things visually interesting but nothing too drastic.

Impressive so I hate saying this but there is a seam line down the inside of the right boot, one of the advantages of having other sets of eyes go over the pictures. Otherwise it's a great start.

Cheers Simon

Started fixing the mould seams Simon had pointed out and realised that a re-boot was in order. The various blacks had ended up splotchy and uneven and that mould seam actually carried all the way up the leg.

Toothbrush and lacquer thinner got it back to resin before re-priming and getting busy. After the day’s efforts I’m much happier with where it’s at.

Drastic action but I have to say it looks better, a more crisp clean paint job. Are you intending building the balcony for this?

Cheers Simon

Absolutely Simon, it’s a much better starting point.

I’m multi tasking at the minute so something else for the next day or two but looking forward to shading/ highlighting and then detailing this one.

And yes, I got the whole figure set along with the wall and balcony so will definitely be building and painting that.

Kempie, they're looking great to me. The tonal differences are coming out nicely, keep rollin along. That's a really fine set you picked up. Ruck On!

Calling this second MIB done! Sticking with the same level of contrast as I did with the first for consistency over the whole balcony project. However, I’m actively trying to develop my skills and if anyone has any suggestions for development let me have it.

Cheers, kempie

Great figure, love the details, the aircrew knife has a small rivet in the middle of the handle, are you going to add lenses to the respirator I remember once we had these on you couldn't really tell one person from another, the canister would be a black satin finish Just out of interest is this all airbrush work

Thanks for dropping by Phil. The reference image is very useful.

Planning on putting a smoke tinted glaze over the lenses when. They are all done so perhaps painting the eyes will be pointless but I think it will be better to have a suggestion of something.

After the initial prime and zenithal highlights it is all brush painted.

BTW when you say the canister do you mean the thing on the side of the mask or at the front?

Cheers, kempie

I think after you have put the smoked tint glaze in you will still be able to make out the features of the face which will have a good effect, the weapons as well were a mix of black satin finish and matt with red dots on the safety catch area

Very good, difficult to make all black look interesting, but you are sucseeding. Great work on the eyes, I struggle to paint eyes if they are sculpted into the face, nevermind freehand.. 👍
