Iroquois by Pegaso

My latest figure is Pegaso’s 54mm Iroquois painted in acrylics and posed on a Bayardi resin boulder. I attempted to get the effect of tiger maple on the gunstock. The feathers are fly tying feathers cut to size and the hair decoration is twisted and painted thread.

nice work! I really like the effect of the red "paint" used on the skin. You have done an excellent job of making it look slightly translucent, and not too over whelming. Often it tends to look too opaque in my opinion. You pulled it off nicely here! The gun stock looks very nice as well! Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing! Are you coming to the HMSNEO Tulsa show this year? I would love to see this guy "in the flesh"!

Sambaman, sorry, I won't be in Tulsa. What I did with the face paint was to paint the face completely with flesh, highlights and shadows. And I was quite happy withthe results, too. I thinned some vallejo red, i forget which of the two shades and laid down a thin layer. I lightened it with old orange, then with a bit more fore orange amd lastly with a bit of sunny skin tone for the highlights.

Great job and a subject that i love love the combination of colors and the wood effect on the gun stock ground work very effective and ubderstated thus nort detracting from a well executed figure.
