Hey again folks,
I just finished this one today, just in time for my club Christmas competition on Thursday, WiP thread here:
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/iroquois.81271/
He is the 120mm Iroquois from Mitches Military Models and is painted mainly in Jo Sonja acrylics with the metals done in a mixture of Vallejo Model Air and Darkstar Molten Metals. This is only my second serious attempt with acrylics after switching from oils and I'm quite happy with how he's turned out. He's far from perfect but I have a good idea on what I have to work on when I move on to the next project.
The only additions I made were a cord for the powder horn, made from 0.4mm lead wire, and a bit of putty to make him look a bit more seated in the tree rather than just balanced on it. Oh, and I drilled out the end of the musket barrel.
It is a very nice model and I would recommend anyone to get one, or if you have it in your GA already - dig it out and get some paint on it, you won't regret it. It would be nice to see more of these painted up
Critique is welcomed as always, we all want to get better
Edit: I've already snagged the stray blob of metallic paint on the back of his right arm and fixed it
