Is it really worth 300-350 USD to...

Well that looks quite handy, but $300 is ridiculously expensive if you ask me.

Actually, I already find shaking Modelcolour paints such a major practical improvement over stirring enamels that I did not even think about further optimization in that respect.

I'd rather spend that money on figures, brushes or paint anyway....

Cheers,
Adrian

I see you point. But let me remind you that the stash of figures, modelkits, bases, references and material that is worth 50 times more at least.

Also, Im reasoning that anything that makes it easier and speeds up production is a good investment as I already has soo much unbuilt.

What a tradgedy it would be then for your both of your hobbies, should an injury occur? But dont worry, I would like to remember that there are gadgets for that too. ;)

I hear ya on the wrist part. Really can be quite painful at times. $300 still seems pretty expensive for this regardless what I have spent on the rest of the hobby.

As a side note, why not drop a few BB's into a bottle? Reaper does this but uses a small skull inside their bottles. Granted, Reaper paints are thinner than the average Vallejo or Andrea paints.

In the end, the choice is the buyers. I still have a hard time reasoning the price based off of similar items on the market. I still remember trying to mix up the OLD Humbrol tins.....

and what up with the new smiles  :( :thumb down: :notworthy: (y) lots of color now...

Is it really worth US$300-350? I wouldn't think so.

You can make a custom paint shaker at home for maybe a tenth of that sum that'll do the job if agitating your paints is getting to be a pain... literally or metaphorically

I'm so glad I sidestepped the whole issue of paint bottles using artists' acrylics; I'll take the heavy diluting with water on the palette over endless shaking any day of the week!

I get to the same level of shakiness after watching Cyndi Crawfords workout video 7 or eight times in a row.

You could buy an old car for that money, sit the paint on the engine block..rev it..hey presto stirred paint and also a means for getting to the pub.

Janne,
They used this in laboratories in the past to shake blood in the tube. Go to a hospital or some lab. Maybe you can have one for nothing.
In the hospital they are stocked into a closet or something. They don't need them anymore.

I might get one of these for the thickness I put it on.o_O

Not wishing to sound funny, but the guy in the video clip has some of the chubbiest looking digits I've ever seen. If anyone needs a 'paint shaking' workout it's him!

I'm not looking for flak, but com'on!

As Gordon Ramsay would say 'F..

Cheers,
Jon.

lol i just bought the robart paint shaker (y) it works great for me , it has shaken all 80+ bottles of vallejo i have had sitting for a yearo_O

I discovered that the cap of a Vallejo bottle fits perfectly in my cordless drill. Using the varible speed you get a perfectly mixed paint in a few seconds. No damage to the cap and no sore palms.
