Hi guys,

Here's a few pics of my latest. This is a super-rare OOP kit by Pandora Models. I understand they produced a very limited number of these and then went out of business shortly thereafter. The elaborate, decorative armor is based on a drawing by da Vinci. Sorry the face is kind of hard to see, but it couldn't be helped due to the design of the helmet. Thanks for looking.

Jason

Fabulous painting of a lovely bust. Is it resin or metal? I've never seen this one before, or even heard of Pandora Models. I'm guessing they were one of those flash-in-the-pan companies who weren't around for very long?

Jason, you've done a first rate job on this chap. Love the colour combinations and what I can see of the face looks good too.
I have this model too and every now and again I revisit it, It still is much of a WIP in my case.
There is a similar helmet in the Hermitage Museum accredited to the Negroli's a famous family of Italian armourers.
Congratulations
Melanie

Steve,

Yes, I think that's the case. I've never seen a painted version of this kit at a show or in a show report. I only got my hands on a copy because its owner sent it to me to paint on commission. It's resin BTW.

That is some really awesome brush work, Jason. If you had a lower light we could see that face, but given how the rest of it is painted, I have no doubt it's looking great!

That’s what saddens me as a super fan of historical miniatures. Some of those pans produced some really nice flashes. Yet no one cared. We should do a thread where we remember choice figures from companies that crashed and burned instantly.
